Hi! Welcome to Sunday Bagels! 🥯✨ A small, locally owned bagel shop in Oxford, Mississippi, serving fresh, hand-rolled sourdough bagels. We’re Andrew Vallone and Lizzy Lamarche, a young couple who both grew up in the kitchen and have always loved food.

Believe it or not, the whole bagel thing started completely by accident. In December of 2024, Andrew was gifted a pizza oven for Christmas, which led him to start experimenting with different types of dough. A few months later, in early 2025, he made his first ever batch of bagels and brought them over to Lizzy’s house one Sunday for her and her roommates to try.

What started as a fun experiment quickly became a weekly Sunday tradition. Week after week, more friends started showing up for bagels, and that’s when Lizzy had the idea to turn it into something a little more official. She created a logo featuring Andrew’s black lab, Remi, printed it onto stickers, bought some brown paper lunch bags, and sent out a Google Form for friends to place their orders. Everything was baked and sold out of Andrew’s apartment! After that first Sunday, we were having so much fun that we created an Instagram page where we posted the order form each week. It started with just our friends and people we knew, but word spread quickly. Every week, more and more people we had never met were ordering bagels and coming by to pick them up.

Eventually, we decided to take our little side hustle to the Oxford Community Market. We figured maybe 10–20 people would come by during the three hour long market. Instead, a line of nearly 150 people formed, and we sold out in just 23 minutes. 🤯

We had no idea how much love and support the Oxford community would show us. That support kept us going every week at the market for the next five months, until we realized we needed a commercial kitchen to keep up with the growing demand.

Now, what started with a pizza oven, a batch of bagels, and a Sunday tradition has turned into something we never could have imagined. We’re so excited and incredibly grateful to now have our own storefront inside the Oxford Creamery, and we can’t wait to keep sharing Sunday Bagels with Oxford! 🥯🤍
